What’s in the bag Monday

September 13, 2010

Finally back in kilter with intended Monday posts. As mentioned, It was Mr Sippity’s birthday over the weekend. Slightly more success with stitchery preparations, including a pair of rather retro looking boxers made from a re-purposed sheet.

And of course a little bunny, just because. (please excuse rough as guts sewing here which is necessary sometimes, just to get an idea actually made)

The chocolate mould ice-cream cake was ditched for a large raspberry cheesecake brownie (recipe can be found here). I would highly recommend this recipe. The brownie base is super dense and rich- not at all biscuity (which I really don’t like).

In general, I think the desert party was well loved and we walked off our sins the next day to find Quar Abbey, which there will be photos of later. Thankyou London folks for such a wonderful weekend!

Projects for this week include making a copy of a friend’s favourite dress and sorting out the Lady Grey Muslin. I am a bit concerned about the later, as have been unable to find suitably weighted material for the muslin, let alone fabric that I would happily use for the jacket on the Island. This may just mean a sooner trip to London again- what a shame.

Hope you had a great weekend

What a cute bunny, he reminds me of The Velveteen Rabit a bit. Harry has a little rabit who apparently has a sore arm at the moment which he wrapped in a huge sticking plaster so poor old rabbit looks quite idiotic! Cake looks yum yum yumbos! Also bloody awesome boxers.

thanks for stopping by woman!! i reckon, as long as he doesn’t try and put one on the chickens, who might not be so forgiving when it comes to taking the plaster off, it’ s just super cuteness. xoxo
