Park Life

September 6, 2010

This weekend we returned to London for a friend ‘s birthday. After much mooching around afterwards on Sunday, we went to Fulham Road Park, which is along the Thames

It was a lovely afternoon and the sun was almost out.

There were a few roses still around

although the holly berries are starting to ripen.

There was something instantly calming about the solid trunks of these ancient trees and their arching foliage.

Some folks just wanted to sit, munch on their afternoon tea and watch the world go by.

Which is what we decided to do also. Unfortunately the castle in the park was closed by the time we got round to it. And now we’re back to the Isle of Wight, which feels ever so small and rural after London. However, feeling very motivated to sew after spending lots of tube time observing the details of clothing and the varied fashions.

Hope you had a lovely weekend too.
